Model Airplane: T29 Samaritan
Material: Mahogany
Manufacturer: Convair
Engine: Propeller
Company: US Navy

Model Airplane Factory offers handmade Navy T29 trainer model, artistically created by our master craftsmen. After carving the wood, the T29 USN model will undergo stages of fine sanding, between primer coats, to produce a silky smooth finish ready for final painting. From raw kiln-dried mahogany wood, it undergoes processes to accomplish a precise T-29 Samaritan trainer airplane wood; from carving, sanding, coating, painting and detailing to a creatively done wooden replica of the Navy T-29. Our T-29 USN trainer model is a beautiful, handmade authentic replica, made from the very finest grade of select kiln-dried mahogany wood and painstakingly decorated by our skilled craftsmen. Convair T-29 trainer wood plane model includes hand-made armaments to represent real weapon loads based on the original T29 Samaritan. This Convair T29 model trainer plane made of mahogany comes with a metal stand and wooden base.

The design began life in a production requirement by American Airlines for a pressurized airliner to replace the classic Douglas DC-3. Convair's original design had two engines and 40 seats, and thus it was designated the CV-240. The first CV-240 flew on March 16, 1947, and production aircraft were first delivered to American on February 28, 1948. Seventy-five were delivered to American, with another fifty going to Western Airlines, Continental Airlines, Pan American Airways, KLM, and Trans Australia Airlines.

T-29 Samaritan is a made-to-order model. Production & Delivery time for a Made To Order model is approximately 8-10 weeks.
