The details of the F18 Hornet RAAF such as the insignia, logos, body number, and squadron are carefully and artistically painted in the F18 Hornet RAAF aircraft jet for precision. After passing through several stages of sanding and priming, our talented artists paint and detail the RAAF Hornet F-18 jet plane with historically correct markings of the RAAF Hornet F18. The rich color paint scheme and markings of the F-18 Hornet are cautiously painted to the assembled F18 Hornet RAAF wooden airplane jet model. The process starts from carving the fuselage and the intakes on the fuselage sides to the RAAF Hornet F18 cruciform tail design, to the assembly and final polishing of the RAAF Hornet F18 airplane wooden model jet. The F-18 Hornet RAAF model jet is supplied with a mahogany base for display.


The Royal Australian Air Force purchased 57 F/A-18A fighters and 18 F/A-18B two-seat trainers, with 71 in service, and 4 lost to crashes. The first F/A-18 was delivered to the RAAF on 29 October 1984. The fleet is expected to be retired by 2015, replaced by the F-35 Lightning II.
