Model Airplane Factory, makers of hand made model aircraft, presents to you our SPAD XIII mahogany display model. Every SPAD S.XIII Biplane Fighter Wood Model Airplane is a work of art. From raw kiln-dried mahogany wood, it undergoes processes to accomplish a precise SPAD XIII wooden model; from carving, sanding, coating, painting and detailing to a creatively done wooden replica of the SPAD XIII biplane aircraft. The rich color paint scheme and markings of the SPAD S.XIII aircraft are cautiously painted to the assembled SPAD XIII display model airplane.

The SPAD S.XIII was a French biplane fighter aircraft of World War I, developed by Société Pour L'Aviation et ses Dérivés (SPAD) from the earlier highly successful SPAD S.VII. It was one of the most capable fighters of the war, and one of the most-produced, with 8,472 built and orders for around 10,000 more cancelled at the Armistice. Its primary users are Aéronautique Militaire, Royal Flying Corps, and US Army Air Service. The SPAD’s maiden flight was on the 4th of April 1917.

The S.XIII was flown by famous fighter pilots such as Italy's Francesco Baracca and the United States Army Air Service's Eddie Rickenbacker, who became leading aces with 34 and 26 confirmed victories, respectively.
