Model Airplane Factory offers you this elegant Cessna Skyhawk display plane made by our master craftsmen. Every Cessna 172 model display is a work of art. Multiple coats of clear lacquer is applied in Cessna Skyhawk display model plane to protect the exquisite artwork and provide an overall glossy finish. After passing through several stages of sanding and priming, our talented artists paint and detail the Cessna Skyhawk wood model display with historically correct markings of the Cessna 172. The rich color paint scheme and markings of the Cessna Skyhawk are cautiously painted to the assembled Cessna Skyhawk 172 model airplane. The process starts from carving the fuselage and the intakes on the fuselage sides to the Cessna 172 Skyhawk cruciform tail design, to the assembly and final polishing of the Cessna Skyhawk model aircraft wood.

The Cessna 172 started life as a relatively simple tricycle landing gear upgrade from the taildragger Cessna 170, with a fairly basic level of standard equipment. The first flight of the prototype was in November 1955. The 172 became an overnight sales success and over 1400 were built in 1956, its first full year of production. The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a four-seat, single-engine, high-wing airplane. More Cessna 172s have been built than any other aircraft. It is also probably the most popular flight training aircraft in the world.
