Model Airplane Factory offers you this elegant YF23 Tactical Fighter made from mahogany wood. The process starts from carving the fuselage of the replica and the intakes on the fuselage sides to the aircraft's cruciform tail design, to the assembly of the whole model, and finally the final polishing of the YF-23 model. The rich color paint scheme and markings of the aircraft are cautiously painted to the assembled YF23 model plane.

The Northrop/McDonnell Douglas YF-23 was a prototype fighter aircraft designed for the United States Air Force. It was passed over in favor of the YF-22 that has entered production as the F-22A Raptor. The YF-23 was nicknamed "Black Widow II" by some crew members. The YF-23 represents a high water mark in manned fighter design for Northrop.

The YF-23 was designed with all-aspect stealth as a high priority and drew on Northrop's experience with the F-18 Hornet and B-2 Spirit. It was an unconventional-looking aircraft with diamond-shaped wings, substantial area-ruling, and a V-tail. The YF-23 was designed to meet USAF requirements for survivability, supersonic cruise (supercruise), stealth, and ease of maintenance. It introduced the novel feature of rear jet nozzle troughs lined with heat ablating tiles developed by Allison, which shielded the exhaust from IR detection from below.
