Every USAF Texan I airplane is a work of art. After passing through several stages of sanding and priming, our talented artists paint and detail the T6 Texan I model trainer wood aircraft with historically correct markings of the T-6 Texan. From raw kiln-dried mahogany wood, it undergoes processes to accomplish a precise T6 Texan I wooden airplane model trainer; from carving, sanding, coating, painting and detailing to a creatively done wooden replica of the T-6 Texan. Every part and detail of the USAF Texan I trainer wooden model is given equal attention to retain the actual specification of the T6 Texan I.

No other trainer of Western origin has ever come close to the record of the T-6 for longevity and production totals. It entered service in 1936 and 21,342 were built, with many still in service today. The T-6 began life as the NA-16 prototype and first flew in April 1935. After a slow start, production accelerated rapidly just before and during WWII.

This aircraft was built with a host of variants, including fixed or retractable landing gear and two different types of engines. Many of these aircraft were manufactured in Canada. After WWII they were re- built as the T-6G standard.
