Model Airplane Factory, makers of hand made model aircraft, presents to you our Air Force B-29 desk top plane. The rich color paint scheme and markings of the B29 Superfortress are cautiously painted to the assembled B29 Superfortress bomber mahogany desk top plane. Multiple coats of clear lacquer is applied in B29 Superfortress bomber desk top airplane to protect the exquisite artwork and provide an overall glossy finish. Every part and detail of the B29 Superfortress aircraft desktop bomber is given equal attention to retain the actual specification of the B29 Superfortress. The Air Force B-29 bomber desk top mahogany is meticulously carved and painted to reflect the true detail of the original Air Force B-29. After carving the wood, the B29 Superfortress desktop bomber aircraft will undergo stages of fine sanding, between primer coats, to produce a silky smooth finish ready for final painting. The B29 Superfortress bomber aircraft mahogany desk top is supplied with a mahogany base for display.

Clinton Rogers trained on the B-17, served as a gunner on the larger B-29. His crew, the "Lucky Leven," was part of the 73rd Bomb Wing stationed on the island of Saipan. His crew flew 39 bombing missions over Japan and other Pacific islands, a total which is considered high by those who flew.

The initial plan, implemented at the direction of President Roosevelt as a promise to China and called Operation Matterhorn, was to use B-29s to attack Japan from four forward bases in southern China, with five main bases in India, and to attack other targets in the region from China and India as needed. The Chengdu region was eventually chosen over the Guilin region to avoid having to raise, equip, and train fifty Chinese divisions to protect the advanced bases from Japanese ground attack. The XX Bomber Command, initially intended to be two combat wings of four groups each, was reduced to a single wing of four groups because of the lack of availability of aircraft, automatically limiting the effectiveness of any attacks from China.
