The Spad XIII model biplane will be painted according to the specific color scheme of the Spad XIII fighter aircraft for their historical significance and authenticity.

. SPAD S.XIII first flew on April 4, 1917, and the following month was already being delivered to the French Air Service. Other Allied forces were quick to adopt the new fighter as well, and nearly half of the 893 purchased for the United States Army Air Service were still in service in 1920. SPAD S.XIII was also exported to Japan, Poland, and Czechoslovakia after the war.

Eddie Rickenbacker was best known as a World War I fighter ace and Medal of Honor recipient. He was also a race car driver and automotive designer, a government consultant in military matters and a pioneer in air transportation. During his lifetime, Rickenbacker worked with many influential civilian and military leaders. He had keen insight into technology, and vision for future improvements. Among other events, he participated in or observed Armistice Day on the Western Front.
