Model Airplane Factory offers handmade Army OV-1 Mohawk model display, artistically created by our gifted artists. After passing through several stages of sanding and priming, our talented artists paint and detail the Grumman Mohawk OV1 airplane model wood display with historically correct markings of the Mohawk OV1. After carving the wood, the OV-1 Mohawk display airplane will undergo stages of fine sanding, between primer coats, to produce a silky smooth finish ready for final painting. The details of the OV1 Mohawk such as the insignia, logos, body number, and squadron are carefully and artistically painted in the Mohawk OV-1 model display plane for precision. Every Mohawk OV-1 model airplane display wooden is a work of art. This Army OV1 Mohawk display plane made of mahogany comes with a metal stand and wooden base.

The OV-1 Mohawk is a heavily armored and armed military observation and attack aircraft, designed for battlefield surveillance and light strike capabilities. The OV-1 was manufactured by Grumman and its primary user United States Army. It is of twin turboprop configuration, and carried two crewmembers with side by side seating. The Mohawk was intended to operate from short, unimproved runways in support of Army maneuver forces.

The prototype (YAO-1AF) first flew on April 14, 1959. The OV-1 entered production in October 1959 and served the U.S. Army in Europe, Korea, Vietnam, Central and South America, Alaska, and during Operation Desert Storm in the Middle East. The Mohawk was removed from U.S. Army service in September 1996.
