After passing through several stages of sanding and priming, our talented artists paint and detail the Vought Crusader F8 plane model with historically correct markings of the F-8 Crusader. The rich color paint scheme and markings of the Vought Crusader F8 are cautiously painted to the assembled Vought F-8 Crusader airplane display model. Every F8 Crusader aircraft wooden model display is a work of art. After carving the wood, the Vought F-8 Crusader wood aircraft display model will undergo stages of fine sanding, between primer coats, to produce a silky smooth finish ready for final painting. The Vought F-8 Crusader model display is meticulously carved and painted to reflect the true detail of the original Vought Crusader F8. This F-8 Crusader model display aircraft made of mahogany comes with a metal stand and wooden base.

The F-8E(FN) is one of the variants of F-8 Crusader manufactured by Chance-Vought. Its is an air superiority fighter version for the French Navy, significantly increased wing lift due to greater slat and flap deflection and the addition of a boundary layer control system, enlarged stabilators, 42 built.

The F-8E(FN) was the last Crusader produced and 42 were ordered by the French Navy (Aéronavale) for use aboard new carriers Clemenceau and Foch. The Phantom II turned out to be oversized for the small French carriers, and the Crusader was chosen. An evaluation campaign was then performed aboard the Clemenceau on March 16th 1962 by two VF-32 F-8s from the carrier USS Saratoga.
