This B-17F Memphis Belle Flying Fortress mahogany model plane is meticulously carved and painted to reflect the true detail of the original Boeing B17F Memphis Belle aircraft. Our B-17F wooden model airplane is a beautiful, handmade authentic replica, made from the very finest grade of select kiln-dried mahogany wood and painstakingly decorated by our skilled craftsmen. B17 Flying Fortress model airplane showcases the exact markings of the actual B-17 Memphis Belle aircraft and has a wingspan of 23.5 inches, body length of 16.875 inches. The B17F Heavy Bomber Wood Model Airplane is made to recognized collector scale of 1/54 for enhanced value. After passing through several stages of sanding and priming, our talented artists paint and detail the B-17F heavy bomber mahogany model with historically correct markings of the B-17 heavy bomber aircraft. B17 Flying Fortress Memphis Belle wood model airplane includes hand-made armaments to represent real weapon loads based on the original Boeing B17 aircraft. Multiple coats of clear lacquer is applied in Boeing B17 Flying Fortress model airplane to protect the exquisite artwork and provide an overall glossy finish. The
is supplied with a mahogany base for display. <br><br><br> Boeing B-17F Memphis Belle is a propeller-powered aircraft used by USAAF and USAAC during World War II (WWII). The B-17F Memphis Belle was manufactured by Boeing. The "F" model of the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was considered to be the first improved model of the bomber that was really capable of going to war. The very first "F" model rolled off the assembly line only a few days after the final "E" model was completed.
